 Morph Characteristics

• Translucent Trait: This recessive genetic trait causes the skin to appear slightly see-through, especially in hatchlings. It often gives the belly a bluish tint. As the dragon matures, the translucency can lessen but may remain visible in some areas.

• Citrus Coloration: “Citrus” refers to the bright yellow or lime-green coloration, giving the dragon a vivid and attractive appearance.

• Eye Color: Translucent dragons frequently have solid black eyes, lacking visible irises, which gives them a striking, almost otherworldly look.

• Scales and Spikes: Their scales and spikes may appear shinier or glossier than typical bearded dragons, sometimes with a soft or gummy texture.

 Care Requirements

• Enclosure: Adults should be housed in a large enclosure, ideally 120 gallons or larger (around 48”L x 24”W x 24”H), to allow for proper movement and temperature zoning.

• Lighting: Provide 10–12 hours of UVB light daily to ensure proper calcium absorption and overall health.

• Temperature Gradient:

  • Basking Spot: 95°F to 110°F (35°C–43°C)

  • Cool Side: 75°F to 85°F (24°C–29°C)

• Humidity: Maintain between 30% and 50%. Avoid excess humidity to prevent respiratory issues.

• Diet:

  • Juveniles: 70% live insects (e.g., crickets, mealworms), 30% vegetables.

  • Adults: 40% insects, 60% leafy greens and vegetables.

• Supplements: Dust food with calcium and vitamin D3. Juveniles need supplementation 5–6 times per week, adults 2–3 times per week.

• Hydration: Provide a shallow water dish and mist occasionally. Avoid over-misting to keep humidity in check.
